There are many free Android emulators available on the internet. Android Emulator is a software application that enables you to run Android apps and games on a PC by emulating Android OS. If you've never done either one of these, I don't recommend you go it alone with the IRS publications, which were written by neither an English teacher nor a mathematician, but the worst amalgam of both. Certainly not the cost, since you can either qualify for one of the free versions, or TurboTax has a tendency to rope you in for the more expensive editions. Maybe it's just a personal preference, or the familiarity.
I have tried other brands of this type of software, but return to TurboTax. If you don't find this software more advantageous to use than slogging through the IRS publications, then either are a tax expert already or your return is so complex that only an expert can help you. These applications take a lot of the sting out of preparing taxes and do a lot of hand holding for most of the more complex portions and forms. If you have used TurboTax or any of other tax return software, you know why you should keep using it.
